Decluttering is a small step in changing your life.

Clean areas equals clean minds. There is no way around it. You can't have a messy space and expect to not have a messy mind.

Get rid of anything you aren't using; sell it, donate it, recycle it, trash it! If you are going to use it, put it away, find a home for it.

Get rid of any items you aren't using or haven't used in the last 12 months!

Even if you are leery of getting rid of something, put it somewhere out of sight, then put a reminder in your calendar for 6-12 months from today's date. If the reminder goes off, you still have yet to use it, remove it from your house!

Ways to Succeed

  1. Do not overwhelm yourself. Start small, 15 minutes a day.

  2. In that 15 minutes, do something with the piles you made, do not leave the piles. Put the donate stuff in the car or garage to take/get picked up. Throw out the items that belong in the trash. Give away pile shipped or in car to drop off. The stuff you are keeping needs a home, find it a home.

  3. If you are going to use your garage as a storage/base area to declutter, make sure you declutter your garage first!

  4. If you find yourself not getting rid of anything, put it on paper. Use a journal. The emotions and memories are still there, even if the item is not. If seeing the item makes you happy, keep it, if it makes you sad, REMOVE IT! Change your perspective on the item! Help to keep track: https://amzn.to/3Whb9iD
